Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
  • Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
  • 1 year of nursing experience is required
  • Experience with drawing labs, performing EKGs, wound care, and triage is required.
  • Experience with chemically dependent populations preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence
  • Current CPR certification

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Mobile Methadone Clinic team in Philadelphia, PA. This posting is for PRN, first shift, weekends 8:00am - 12:00pm.

We are a Mobile Methadone Clinic for high-risk adults in need of same-day care that is not an emergency in Philadelphia. We are 100% community-based conducting mobile engagement and the first of its kind in the City of Philadelphia! We serve individuals with substance use concerns by providing Mobile Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT) and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

The LPN will administer medication and therapeutic treatments per the physician's orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
  • Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
  • Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
  • Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed
  • Assess client response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
  • Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor's orders, etc., as required
  • Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and HepC testing for all patients and assigned units, including making outside referrals when necessary
  • Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications)
