Formal Education: Associate Degree or certification equivalent
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Yes

Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Hospice is responsible for providing quality patient care and performing technical skilled care in the patient's home.

- Performs skilled nursing services under the supervision of a staff RN daily. \n
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by state regulations. \n
- Assists the physician and/or staff RN in performing specialized procedures as needed. \n
- Assists the patient with daily activities and encourages appropriate self-care daily. \n
- Reports to the patient's physician and other appropriate personnel regarding pertinent changes in the patient's condition as needed. \n
- Performs complex wound care if in-service is documented for specific procedure daily or as needed. \n
Education and Experience
Formal Education: Associate Degree or certification equivalent
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Yes

License Requirements
\n
- \n
- Unrestricted licensure in state of practice. \n
- Current CPR certification required. \n
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation. \n
