The Wisconsin DNR is recruiting for two LTE (Limited Term Employee) - Office Operations Associates to support our Fisheries and Wildlife Management Bureaus, in Madison, WI.

Based on an assessment of the goals and work activities, this position may be eligible for telework. This assessment does not convey approval to telework or the exact percentage of telework. Telework is subject to supervisor approval based on individual circumstances and department telework policies and may be changed without notice based on business needs.

Position Summary

These positions provide paraprofessional administrative support to programs administered by the Department of Natural Resources. Positions develop, administer and maintain materials associated with key leadership teams and manage office operations for the program. Work is performed under general supervision.

70% A. Administrative Support for the Bureau Director, Wildlife Leadership Teams (WLT)/Fisheries Leadership Teams (FLT), Wildlife Implementation Team (WIT)/Fisheries Implementation Team (FIT) and associated Staff
A1. Perform administrative tasks as assigned which includes ordering office supplies and clothing orders.
A2. Provide support for the WLT/FLT and WIT/FIT, and other teams as assigned. Duties include agenda coordination, scheduling assistance, IT support for meetings, taking, editing and distributing meeting minutes, assignment tracking and maintenance of team SharePoint sites.
A3. Assist the agency and division records coordinators with processing requests by identifying, coordinating and collecting paper records as appropriate to meet the specific request.
A4. Support Wildlife/Fisheries Management Bureau through fiscal processing by reconciling Pcard and travel expenses and making purchase requisitions in Peoplesoft. Assist the Office of Business Services with processing financial gifts received by the program.
A5. Coordinate meeting and travel logistics for the WLT/FLT and WIT/FIT meetings including identifying and negotiating meeting locations, lodging arrangements, and completing the approval processes for travel and meal expenses.
A6. Develop and prepare reports, materials, etc. as requested by the Bureau Director, WLT/FLT and WIT/FIT members to ensure that the Bureau Director is fully informed on various issues within the program.

20%B. Support for division-level teams
B1. Provide support for the division-level cross program teams such as the Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) Employee Engagement Team, The FWP Relevancy Team and/or other teams as assigned to include agenda coordination, scheduling assistance, IT support for meetings, taking, editing and distributing meeting minutes, assignment tracking and maintenance of team SharePoint sites.

10% C. Other Duties as Assigned

Salary Information

These positions pay between $18.12 - $19.62 per hour and are in pay schedule and range 02-10. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.

Job Details

Limited Term Employment: This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position. LTE positions do not automatically lead to permanent state employment or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employees; however, these positions do offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities with the Department of Natural Resources and the State of Wisconsin.

LTE employees are limited to working 1039 hours per position within a twelve-month period.

Residency Requirement: In order to be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.

Qualifications

A minimally qualified candidate will have:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft systems, especially Word, Teams, OneNote and Excel
A well-qualified candidate will have:
  • Prior experience performing administrative duties in a professional office setting
