Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Assist the registered nurse in direct patient care. Provides ongoing follow-up assessment and intervention under the supervision of the registered nurse. Provides basic patient care as needed. Fosters a collaborative working relationship within and outside of the department. Provides patient and family education as appropriate.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of direct patient care as an LVN
  • Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications
  • CA LVN License IV certification CPRBLS. IV Certification required within 90 days

Skills:
  • IV Skills and Phlebotomy Skills

Training:
  • EKG Technician Competency

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
