Job Duties

POSITION: Machine Learning Engineer

WORK LOCATION: Durham, NC ( telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S.)

JOB DUTIES: Utilize machine learning to create new products/features and internal platform for text analytics and content acquisition & delivery. Develop and program integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage data in product and systems applications in both structured and unstructured environments for new product design projects. Develop and communicate descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms. Use machine language and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis and others to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy for product/systems improvement projects. Implement and improve environments and use current programming language and technologies to translate algorithms and technical specifications into code for theoretical development environments and specific product design projects. Complete programming and implements efficiencies, performs testing and debugging. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Apply deep learning technologies to give computers the capability to visualize, learn and respond to complex situations. Adapt machine learning to areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, and other products that allow users to have an interactive experience. Work with large scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems and modeling environments. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U. S.

What You'll Need to be Successful

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • 6 months of experience in machine learning (ML), including 6 months of experience in each of the following:
    • ML techniques, including classification, regression, and clustering;
    • ML Platforms, including TensorFlow, Amazon SageMaker, PyTorch, and/or Scikit-learn;
    • Feature engineering;
    • Hyperparameter;
    • Data visualization; and
    • Coding using Java and/or Python.
  • All experience may be gained concurrently.

This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee's role.
