About the Team

As a member of the Embedded Processors team, you will be working on state-of-the-art processors and microcontrollers to make the world smarter, safer, and greener. These products are the heart of autonomous vehicles, intelligent robots, electric vehicles, and energy efficient homes and push the boundaries of technology integrating high-speed interface controllers, networking accelerators, deep learning accelerators, DSPs, ARM/RISC-V compute cores, vision analytics, security, and multimedia. You will help build products that will transform the world by making technology reachable, affordable and accessible for all.

About the Job

The job offers the opportunity to conduct Functional and Performance verification of Machine Learning IPs including TI DSPs and Memory systems. As a Functional and Performance verification Engineer, you will be part of a team with a charter to develop Analytics, Machine Learning and High-Performance Compute IPs, that solve our customers' challenges primarily in the automotive and industrial space. You will drive the requirements gathering, create verification plans, come up with the methodology, and implement the same using System Verilog (or UVM), to ensure that the differentiated IP and SoC meets all functional and performance requirements as well as holds high quality standards.

You will interface with various engineering teams within the product line including IP & SoC Design, Verification, Validation, Test, Systems, Software, Applications and Marketing to successfully execute the Functional and Performance verification from concept to design to completion.

You will be a core member in the IP team driving flawless execution, while finding innovative solutions to customers' problems through "out of the box thinking" to deliver highly differentiated products.

Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Be a key team member from IP requirement definition till release to market, working closely with all cross-functional teams
  • Create detailed verification plans, working closely with systems and design engineers, and implement them using System Verilog (or UVM)
  • Write documentation, application notes, examples, and create and maintain a Knowledge Base on issues surrounding the Functional and Performance verification
  • Create ML IP Performance verification plan, create testcases, measure and document Performance verification results
  • Support required functional debug of the ML IP to meet the Functional and Performance verification goal


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ yrs (strongly prefer 5+ years of IP Design Verification experience in Processor and Memory systems domain)
  • Must know Verilog and System Verilog
  • Must have worked on Advanced verification methodologies such as UVM
  • Must have worked with simulation and waveform debug tools (eg: Cadence Ncsim)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leading verification of complex digital IPs
  • Knowledge of Processor performance verification platforms (eg; Cadence Perspec)
  • Knowledge of Hardware simulation, emulation (QT, Zebu), or virtualization tools and environments (SystemC, TLM2.0)
  • Knowledge of ARM processors, RISC-V cores, DSPs, Cache systems
  • A background in machine learning / deep learning
  • A background in signal processing, communications, or controls
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, and Python
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
