SUMMARY

• Operates a computerized I.D. card encoding/embossing and inserting equipment
• Produces plastic identification cards in accordance with established corporate standards and requests

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engagement Description:

• Primarily responsible for operating an electronic ID card issuance machine to produce plastic identification cards in accordance with established standards and prepare cards for mailing to subscribers/customers
• Responsibilities also include performing routine and preventative maintenance of issuance machines and pulling special requests from production
• There is also the responsibility to insert documents and prepare for mailing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operates all embossing/encoding and inserting equipment in the course of performing daily plastic I.D. card production duties
• Maintains daily production logs
• Runs production test tapes
• Pulls special group requests from production tapes, as required
• Ensures proper maintenance of equipment by completing request for service
• Processes manual I.D. card emboss/recreates requests
• Performs ongoing verification of production quality

Must be willing and able to work flexible schedule, including overtime, overnights, weekends, and holidays

Must have attention to detail, organization

Strong communication skills

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience as a machine operator in a production environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience using windows-based computer applications
• Ability to work shift beginning at 6:00 AM

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience in a production quality assurance environment

Education/Certifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• Must complete departmental training on operation and maintenance of plastic card/embosser machinery, Datacard model 9000

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Knowledge of I.D. card issuance procedures pertaining to Our Client's identification card production in the Plastic Card Services Department
• Must be familiar with computer controlled production equipment

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
