P osition Summary:
Operate CNC machines to produce dental implants and associated product. Perform routine SPC dimensional inspections, adjust offsets, and change cutting tools to maintain the product quality and production output.

Major Responsibilities of the Position:

• Independently operate CNC machinery.
• Operate 2-3 CNC machines at a time.
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally.
• Perform routine SPC inspections.
• Clean and maintain CNC machines.
• Assist and train Apprentices as needed.
• Work with small parts and hold tight tolerances.

Physical Attributes:

• Use manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
• Lift up to 25 lbs

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of previous experience as a machinist OR 18+ months experience in Straumann's machinist apprentice program
• 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and performing precision measuring of parts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Technical or Trade School's Machinist program
• Experience with Swiss style CNC lathes
• Prior Medical Device or Dental experience
• Attention to fine detail and high quality
