Job description

Infosys is seeking Mainframe Assembler Developer- This position will primarily be responsible to interface with key stakeholders; applying technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts; to deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

This position is based in Jersey City, NJ. Candidate can work remotely from anywhere within the US during EST time zone. This position may require relocation and or travel to project location.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience with Mainframe Assembler

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience in Mainframe Technologies.
• Experience in COBOL, CICS and DB2.
• Experience in software development life cycle
• Ability to lead the activities related to requirements elicitation, creation, and review of design, provide pseudo code to the team, assign and review tasks, mentor individuals.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Analytical & design skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
