Indotronix is seeking a Mainframe Cobol Developer Remote position in EST or CST time zones
Position Title: Mainframe Cobol Developer
Position Location: Remote EST or CST time zones
Acceptable time zone(s): must be willing to work EST - prefer candidates in EST or CST
Working Hours: 8-5 EST (may have deployments outside core hours but should be able to flex time throughout the week)
Duration: Contract to hire
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Upgrading COBOL CICS regression testing
2. Reverse engineering existing Mainframe COBOL/CICS system to effectively map database fields to the screens they are populating
Need COBOL, DB2, and CICS expertise/experience to identify which DB2 fields are being used to populate the CICS screens, not a coding position
Must-Have Technical Skills:
-Mainframe COBOL
-DB2
-CICS
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
Flex Skills/Nice to Have:
Soft Skills:
-Good communication skills, collaborative team environment
Education Required:
-Degree preferred, Experience Required
Years of experience:
-Level 2. 3-5 years
