SAIC is in search of a a seasoned with the qualifications to assist with Operational Maintenance of Enterprise Class IT hardware and system software infrastructure.
Qualifications
We are currently seeking a seasoned, motivated, and customer oriented Senior Software Engineer to work closely with IRS and SAIC Team members supporting the Data Center Operational Maintenance.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.

Qualifications
We are currently seeking a seasoned, motivated, and customer oriented Senior Software Engineer to work closely with IRS and SAIC Team members supporting the Data Center Operational Maintenance.
- The candidate MUST have a Bachelors degree and 14 years of experience. Experience can be used in lieu of education.
- The candidate MUST exhibit mastery of mainframes (Unisys 2200 and IBM), storage management, and configuration management skills in the context of data center operations
- The candidate MUST possess a deep understanding of best practices for complex, enterprise class data center operations
- The candidate MUST possess a deep understanding of best practices for planning and implementation of configuration management
- The candidate MUST possess knowledge and experience with configuration and operations of large, complex disk and virtual tape storage (Dell EMC VMAX/PowerMax and DLm)
- The candidate SHOULD possess client consulting skills with world-wide best practices in a complex and mission critical data center environment
- The candidate SHOULD possess knowledge and experience in implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Alternate Site Processing (ASP) procedures and best practices
- The candidate SHOULD possess skills for managing a team of top flight IT engineers
