Mainframe Systems Programmer

A large university is looking for a Mainframe Systems Programmer. This person will Involves serving as the systems administrator for hardware, operating systems, and network management of their Mainframe environment. They will plan and coordinates the installation, configuration and testing of hardware and software components. They will also so production support and work with other team members to resolve highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Other responsibilities include:
- oversee the hardware and software maintencance of the main frame, including monitoring the uuage and associated pricing. Support
Support the DB2 DBA with production issues
Work directly with their IBM Account Manage to manage CPUs and cost
Constantly manage usage capacity
Provide and advise the Sr. Director or capacity, usuaage and cost -
Monitor performance on the mainframe and find solutions to problems on the Mainframe
Work with CICS and Rakf

5-10 years of experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer
Strong experience managing the mainframe system including performance, usage
Strong Knowledge if CICS
Strong knowledge of RACF
Strong experience troubleshooting production and technical issues
