  • Troubleshoot using working knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Perform plumbing and pipefitting duties as required on plant piping, such as water, air, gas and chemical lines
  • Operate and repair electrically and mechanically, all compressors, sprinklers, cooling towers and pumps as needed
  • Read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Installation, modification and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules
  • Welds and fabricates as necessary for repair of projects
  • Maintains interior and exterior of buildings including windows, drain spouts, roofs, floors, ceiling, etc
  • Inputs and retrieves information from management
  • Participates in continuous improvement in safety, quality and housekeeping
  • Performs preventative maintenance as directed
  • Performs various inspections on safety equipment
  • Requisitions material, parts, and tools
  • Communicate clearly from one shift to another and to crew leader and supervisor/manager
  • Coordinates the scheduling of repairs
  • Actively participates in adhering to plant housekeeping requirements by picking up trash, sweeping work areas, and returning materials and equipment to their proper location
  • Reads and comprehends instructions regarding new equipment, equipment changes and/or procedural changes
  • Other tasks determined by management
