Maintenance Janitor 1

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Janitor 1 for a contract opportunity in Northridge, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
o Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
o Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products etc.)
o Wipe mirrors and windows
o Cleaning entrances, including glass doors and floors
o Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department
o Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o High school diploma or GED required
o 4 years custodial work experience
o Previous custodial experience required
o Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
o Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
o Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
o Attention to detail and conscientiousness
o Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
o Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
o Good physical condition and strength

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek. M-Th 7-4:30 (30 minute lunch) working Friday 7-3:30.
