Salary Plan/Grade:
Maintenance Support Tech I (A13): $35,439- $52,388/yearly
Maintenance Support Tech II (A15): $38,976- $58,045/yearly
Maintenance Support Tech III (A17): $42,976 - $64,469/yearly

Position Description
Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters. Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties:
- Assists with data entry for construction record-keeping.
- Composes and prepares correspondence and applicable recurring or special one-time reports and/or confidential and
sensitive communications.
- Coordinates and tracks the progress of projects and/or specialized programs and informs supervisor or other Department
officials of status.
- Maintains materials inventory.
- Monitors equipment mileage and service records.
- Researches and compiles information for reports or inquiries and assists in organizing, coordinating and preparing
written or statistical reports.
- Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or front
desk assistant.
- Assists district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles and minor equipment.
Maintenance Support Tech I (A13): $32,439 - $49,388/yearly
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: None
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Maintenance Support Tech II (A15): $35,976 - $55,045/yearly
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience:1 YEAR in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience. College education and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Maintenance Support Tech III (A17): $39,976 - $61,399/yearly
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: 3 YEARS in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience. College education and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

- Roadway maintenance concepts, methods and procedures
- Inventory/stock control procedures
- Purchasing methods and procedures
- Applicable industry safety standards, guidelines, and specification codes
- Researching, analyzing, and interpreting policies and state and federal laws and regulations specific to functional
- Maintaining effective working relationships with others
- Dealing courteously and effectively with the public
- Administrative support practices and procedures to include writing, editing and report writing techniques, recording meeting notes, record keeping and records management
- Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files and reports
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools
- Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs
- Standing-prolonged periods of time
- Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading
