Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day management of Maintenance technicians
• Plan, schedule and assign daily Maintenance work
• Manage the technicians work assignments in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and be responsible for the accurate documentation of all daily activities
• Responsible for establishing short-term maintenance plans for all manufacturing equipment and associated utility systems to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and maximize machine uptime
• Provide technical support to the team of Maintenance technicians
• Familiar with industrial control systems, instrumentation, CNC equipment, robotics, hydraulics, electrical and air systems
• Assist in the development and training of Maintenance technicians
• Develop and manage the semi-annual reviews of the Maintenance technicians performance and develop goals for improvement
• Ensure maintenance resources - skills, people, and tools - are adequate to support preventive and predictive Maintenance, as well as addressing unplanned equipment failures immediately to minimize operational disruptions
• Be proactive in the continuous improvement of Maintenance activities, methods and performance
• Participate in monitoring and improving various Maintenance metrics and KPIs through continuous improvement
• Display a thorough understanding and drive the daily Maintenance SQDCPI/QRQC/5S processes
• Work with area Team Leads to ensure production needs from the equipment are being met
• Participate in small project planning in conjunction with engineering and operations
• Be the first person of contact for off hours Maintenance emergencies and manage as required
• Perform other related duties as required

• Must demonstrate the physical capacity to meet the demands of the "Heavy" Job Placement Assessment (JPA) as administered by St. Elizabeth Business Health Services
• Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
• Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards

Experience/Education/Certification Required

• Minimum of a High School diploma, Associates degree or higher preferred
• Minimum of four years experience in a maintenance leadership role
• The ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings/manuals including the associated schematics and P&IDs
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PLCs, CNCs and other electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Ability to utilize and manage a CMMS system efficiently
• Ensuring equipment and facility compliance to applicable federal, state, and local codes
