Position Summary
Essential Duties:

• Maintains production and quality requirements by performing troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance, and repair of mechanical manufacturing equipment.

• Able to perform essential job functions outside of normal working hours.

• Responsible for pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic operations of equipment.

• Maintains facilities and grounds in a clean, well-kept, and efficient operating manner as needed.

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Fabricate new equipment (Machining)

• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by implementing 6S. Complies with all Company and Federal safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Other duties not listed herein but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and timely day-to-day operations of the plant.

• Follow company rules and safety policies

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with air compressors, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, welding, electrical/electronic equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and heavy manufacturing equipment.
  • Must have strong fabrication background
  • Ability to use and maintain a computerized maintenance work order notification system.
  • Capable of developing standard work instructions for equipment.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
  • Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved.
  • Ability to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagrams.
  • Maintenance operations experience in industrial manufacturing required. Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Requires experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC's.
  • Metal fabrication skills and welding (mig/tig) experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Requires strong skills in math, reading, writing and time management.
  • Ability to work independent of others, as well as with a team to resolve issues.
  • Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the job.
  • Ability to use a personal computer. Prior experience using a CMMS is a plus. Knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word is a plus.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bilingual a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • May be required to lift to approximately 35 pounds
  • Must be able to stand at workstation for a long period of time
  • Must be able to use both hands in a repetitive motion
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles
  • Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions
