Position Details:
• Title: Facilities Mechanic III
• Location: San Diego, CA
• Shift: 3/2/2/3 - 1st shift 6a-6:30p
• Compensation: $25-$36hr based on experience, 4hrs OT every shift (time and a ½)

Position Description: Responsibilities include:
Conducting and providing mechanical expertise in the maintenance and repair activities of the manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems in support of scheduled production activities and resolving the day-to-day equipment and facilities related issues. The goal is to ensure that manufacturing systems and support utilities are available as demanded by the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure that production equipment and support utilities are available as demanded by manufacturing.
• Detect and resolve recurring system problems.
• Organize and prepare technical documentation necessary to ensure support of cGMP operations.
• Contribute to the identification and procurement of appropriate spare parts and materials.
• Provide leadership and support to facility and equipment mechanics.
• Assist in the validation of new or modified support facilities.
• Support company facilities-wide.

Requirements:
• 6 years of relevant facilities and/or process equipment experience. Or military equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of cGMP parenteral manufacturing practices and facilities.
• Significant knowledge of cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing support utilities.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift, weekends, & manage projects with a high degree of self-motivation.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
• Skills in HVAC, autoclaves, glass wash equipment & various pumps, mechanical seals, and motors.
• Proficient oral and written English communication skills.
• Excellent planning, organizing, execution skills and work with minimum supervision
