Summary

The role of a Plant Maintenance Technician is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities.

Sign-On Bonus $5,000! Payable 1500.00 at 30 days, 1500.00 at 60 days and 2000.00 at 90 days!
  1. Install, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities
  2. Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustmentsto maintain maximum production and quality
  3. Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime
  4. Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records
  5. Review Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement; propose and implement continuous productivity, process and quality improvement actions for all facilities
  6. Facilitate equipment moves on the shop floor
  7. Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, maintainability and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met
  8. Set up requisitions for supplies, equipment and facilities
  9. Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime
  10. Keep up-to-date documentationrelated to maintenance
  11. All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills and Experience:
  • 3 years of maintenance experience in a fast pace manufacturing environment (automotive preferred but not required)
  • Experience in Injection Molding (troubleshooting and repair)
  • Ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety/complexity requiring knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment.
