Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking Building & Grounds Maintenance Technicians for our client in Mount Washington!
Shift: Monday - Friday 1st Shift /On call rotation
Pay: $19 - $21 BOE

Job Summary

Ability to perform a variety of duties related to building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical repair, janitorial, and grounds keeping ensuring the comfort of residents, visitors, and employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect properties and coordinate and improvements/repairs with the manager
  • Identify and repair plumbing problems, includes repair, replacement, or installation of faucets, pipes, and hot water tanks
  • Disassembles various equipment, repairs, adjust and reassembles the equipment, which includes heating/cooling units, call systems, lighting fixtures, appliances, etc.
  • Tests and determines problems associated with 110/240 volt single phase electrical systems by changing switches and receptacles. Repairs light fixtures within in NES guidelines to provide a sage environment for the community.
  • Repair/replace ceiling tiles, stud replacement, hardware and minor roofing repair including siding, gutters, and fasteners
  • Responds to emergency or non emergency calls throughout the housing network. Must be on call 24 hours per day during the rotation period.
  • Maintain grounds to ensure safety and good appearance to the public. Includes mowing grass, pulling weeds, trimming and pruning trees and shrubs, watering lawns and clean up of mulch and leaves
  • Snow removal
  • Minor paint touch-ups and painting of units
  • Drywall repair
  • Obtain bids for capital improvement projects
  • Prepare building for REAC inspections according to HUD specifications and follow thru with documentation. Conduct all repairs as the result of inspections
  • Preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Maintain inventory
  • Maintain an organized electronic scheduling system to effectively complete all maintenance requests in a timely manner and in the order by which they were received
Qualifications:
  • Possesses knowledge of general mechanical/electrical principles and systems.
  • Possesses ability to read and understand manufacture's instructions and operating manuals.
  • Able to read simple blueprints and schematics.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Must have drivers license
