Maintenance Technician

In the maintenance technician role you would provide support to AutoZone's SSC, corporate building in downtown Memphis, by providing preventative maintenance and facility support. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment, and utility systems; perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections; work on special projects as requested, and perform required safety inspections.

Responsibilities

• Maintains tools and equipment through proper storage, training, and maintenance.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and management direction, including all fleet and safety policies
• Interact with building occupants including senior management (as needed) to answer questions or respond to complaints.
• Assist with planning of long-range building repairs or improvements
• Inform appropriate personnel of problems and projects that will affect quality of production and production schedules.
• Assist with troubleshooting HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, related controls, motors etc.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems
• Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, painting (walls), piping, floors, and equipment.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and test fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment

Experience

• Trade or Technical School courses preferred but not required
• 1-2 years previous Maintenance experience or equivalent education
• HVAC certifications preferred but not required
• Electrical, plumbing, and general construction skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet AutoZone's driving requirements
