Volt is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Houston, Texas.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Maintain building, both internal and external in manufacturing and warehouse facility.
• Maintain manufacturing equipment and facility in general to include - Cranes, air compressor, dock doors, fabrication, racking, floor cleaner, forklifts.
• Perform electrical and air/pneumatic work.
• Manage external services, including but not limited to machine maintenance repair companies, and general building maintenance.
• Repair compressed air leaks.
• Maintain and improves tool maintenance program.
• Ensure that all tooling conditions are maintained and life is extended where possible.
• Maintain and improves inventory of maintenance spare parts.
• Prioritize maintenance requests.
• Support / Maintain plant asset register.
• Ensure training is carried out effectively as requested as required and when observations for improvement are noted.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting a clean, safe, and efficient work environment - 5S / TPM housekeeping methodology are to be applied throughout the plant. Audit each area and apply appropriate action where necessary.
• Participate in and lead continuous improvement to reduce downtime and increase up time through Kaizens.
• Provide support to Manufacturing Engineering, Safety, and new area development.

This is a Full-Time opportunity.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Proven leadership, coaching / mentoring, and a team-oriented mindset
• Proven ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Ability to write clearly and informatively and present numerical data effectively
• Ability to read and interpret written information
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

Pay Rate: $22.00 an hour plus overtime as needed.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
