Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
In collaboration with the Women's Health and Medical Services ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the mammography area by planning and coordinating patient flow, work distribution, inventory control and quality control.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Minimum Qualifications
1. For supervisory assignments: a valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiological Technologist issued by NYSDOH; and two (2) years of experience as a Radiographer performing duties consistent with Assignment Levels, I and II, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
2. For specialized imaging assignments: a valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiological Technologist issued by NYSDOH; and possession of a current advanced-level certification in the appropriate specialty area for the performance of these procedures.
Benefits
All Radiologic Technologists in Assignment Levels II and III shall receive a differential of $7,500 per annum to be cross-trained on different modalities of radiologic imaging and to be cross-assigned (once trained) to different imaging settings depending on patient volume and staffing needs within a facility.

Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform high quality radiologic, fluoroscopy, and mammography exams on incoming patients
- Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
- Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
- Occasionally travel to our nearby centers to receive training and/or help with coverage.
- Participate in projects and/or meetings, as well as complete other tasks as assigned by management.
- Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.
- Selects proper mode to produce correct exposure factors.
- Evaluates images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
- Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques if appropriate. Explains procedures to patients.
- Prints film or burns CDs if warranted. Matches with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
- Provides orientation to new Mammographers.
- Protection for patients, public and staff.
