Description
Performs radiologic mammography exams per department protocol including advanced Mammography procedures like stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, drainages
Perform the quality control functions related to mammography
Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner
The Mammography Tech in this department provides care for adult patients between 18 to 64 years
Perform high quality radiologic and mammography exams on incoming patients
Assess patientâs medical condition, age, size and other related medical conditions to determine if patient is able to undergo mammography examination and to how best to obtain optimal results/images
Immobilize patient as required for appropriate examination, explaining the need for breast compression during mammography
Assume responsibility for mammography equipment and reports equipment malfunction
Demonstrates the ability to operate mammography and biopsy equipment properly
Conducts daily, weekly and monthly QC testing to ensure the quality control functions related to mammography
Requirements:
Ability to interact with patients in a fast-paced environment;
Strong verbal and organizational skills;
At least one (1) year experience as a Mammographer;
Ability to travel â some positions will require some travel;
Active ARRT (R) (M) or ARDMS (BR) certifications;
With excellent customer service.
