Typical duties include:
  • Serving as principal advisor to OMWI leadership on supplier DEIA issues.
  • Implementing, evaluating and reporting on the agency's supplier diversity initiatives and programs.
  • Conducting vendor market research and outreach to attract minority- and women-owned businesses to the agency's contracting opportunities.
  • Coordinating technical assistance geared to minority- and women-owned businesses and promoting, guiding, and assisting the COR community on working with diverse vendors.
  • Preparing and creating supplier diversity outreach materials, including presentation decks that are visually appealing and convey DEIA concepts in a clear and concise manner to various audiences.
  • Attending Supplier Diversity events to interact with and inform vendors about the supplier diversity program and contracting with the SEC.
  • Remaining informed about emerging trends in Supplier Diversity that may impact the Agency and ensure OMWI leadership is kept abreast of such trends.

  • This position is in the collective bargaining unit, NTEU Chapter 293.
  • This position is eligible to request telework in accordance with the SEC 's telework policy.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level:
  1. Evaluating standards, procedures, and policies related to federal regulations governing agency procurement; AND
  2. Analyzing compliance with contract standards; AND
  3. Building relationships with agency staff and vendors.
