Description

The Manager Advanced Analytics is responsible for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and other advance analytics projects at Grady. The role is responsible for the advanced analytics strategy and infrastructure and manages a team of advanced analytics specialists, AI ML engineers, data scientists, and consultants. This role will lead the business case development, prioritization, prototyping and development of minimum viable products, implementation, and maintenance of advanced analytics solutions. Success for this role is measured in clinical and business outcomes, requiring the role to maintain strong relationships with business executives and clinical leaders at all levels of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Description

• Works with key business partners to understand business priorities, identify strategic initiatives, and develop effective and timely advanced analytic solutions

• Develop and maintains enterprise AI/ML policies and procedures, including target technology platform

• Review existing analytic processes to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement

• Remains up to date with the latest methodologies, tools, and industry trends in machine learning and artificial intelligence

• Maintain a deep understanding of the underlying data models, data analysis concepts, and the ability to develop solutions to support/enhance business decisions through reporting.

• Leads, coaches, and develops the advanced analytics teams

• Manages team workload and reports on work status and tracks accordingly.

• Manage consultant relationships and projects for advanced analytics projects

Education

Description

Required:

A bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, management information systems, finance, statistics, or related field

Preferred:

master's degree preferred

Experience

Description

Required:

At least five years of experience in data analytics, consulting, data engineering, software engineering, or a similar role

Preferred

Five years of experience in the healthcare industry

• Business acumen, for example understanding business concepts, practices and business domain language to engage in problem-solving sessions and discuss business issues in stakeholder language.

• Business case development, for example to help develop support for experimenting with selected use cases or measuring the impact/business value created. For this, the role can collaborate with business analysts.

• Business data, for example the structure, ownership and use within an organization (call detail records in telco, points of sale in retail, etc.).

• Analytics, for example diagnostic, descriptive, predictive and prescriptive.

• AI, for example graph analysis, machine learning and natural language processing.

• Data management (ETL), data architecture, and for example data integration (ETL) or metadata.

• Data architecture, for example the difference between data warehouse, data lake or data hub.

• Data structures, for example structured, semistructured and unstructured data.

• Statistical skills, for example understanding the difference between correlation and causation.
