As part of our integrated approach, Skipcart, which is the last mile delivery business unit of 7-Eleven, plays a crucial role in ensuring swift and efficient deliveries.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manager, Driver Operations S&A, Market Insight to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in understanding market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing operational efficiency within the Skipcart team. As a manager, you will be responsible for formulating and executing Market Specific Driver Strategies based on market dynamics, business goals, and regulatory requirements to ensure sustained growth and competitiveness. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping strategies for sustainable growth and improvement across various markets.

Responsibilities
  • Driver Incentive Strategy: Design and deploy dynamic incentive programs that strategically optimize driver efficiency based on market conditions.
  • Driver Engagement and Retention: Implement communication strategies to keep drivers informed about earnings and potential efficiency improvements through new features and initiatives. Lead the development, launch, and management of these initiatives.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with the operations team to discern the underlying factors influencing market and driver behavior. Formulate and design strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing market performance.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze real-time driver activity. Develop predictive models to forecast driver efficiency in specific areas and during peak hours, ensuring optimal performance to meet customers' delivery needs.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor practices, and evolving gig-economy demands. Leverage this information to continuously refine our driver efficiency strategies.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Analytics & Data Science, and Product, to seamlessly integrate driver insights into efficiency optimization efforts. Foster partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance the overall driver experience.
  • Flexible Solutions: Identify and explore flexible driver efficiency solutions and innovative rewards/perks to ensure an engaged driver community that adapts to changing market conditions and consistently enjoys positive experiences delivering with Skipcart.
  • Performance Monitoring: Own and analyze key business metrics related to P&L in each market. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to implement improvement initiatives. Regularly report insights to leadership, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish a mechanism to regularly evaluate operational processes and strategies. Identify areas for improvement and design initiatives to continuously optimize our operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all driver efficiency initiatives adhere to local labor laws, gig-economy standards, and relevant regulations. Maintain compliance to uphold ethical and legal standards in our operations.


SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4-6 years) working with data analysis cost optimization, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation, MS Excel, and data visualization platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and Insatiable intellectual curiosity.
  • Experience in the gig economy, food delivery, or logistics industries is a plus.
  • Additional professional certifications in strategy, analytics, or relevant areas are advantageous.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
