Job Description:
The Manager, Electrical Engineering is responsible for leading a team of Electrical Engineers and supports planning, research & development, and execution of all engineering development tasking on projects, pursuits, and programs. Responsible for functional requirements of staffing (manpower/resource planning), recruiting, training, talent development, engagement, and retention of employees. Proactively collaborates with functional and business leadership teams to support business and program requirements and demands.
In this role the selected candidate will communicate with parties within and outside of the organization which includes customers or vendors. Requires ability to communicate with leadership regarding matters of importance to the function or business area. May conduct briefings with senior leaders.
Requires technical and leadership knowledge in the design, development, and integration of circuit card assemblies and other electronics equipment and products for DoD applications.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:
- Manage and direct the day to day activities of the Electrical Engineering team and coordinate individual work assignments.
- Leads Electrical Engineering development efforts, managing technical scope and delivering to technical, cost, and schedule objectives
- Guide the development and delivery of system hardware and CCA/electronics development, providing task-level contributions to programs as needed.
- Lead and support the team conducting EMI/EMC analysis and test and RF Provide technical direction and oversight to individuals on the engineering team and to program teams, insuring high standards of technical competence and achievement.
- Focus on team growth and development, planning and implementing strategies for adding breadth and depth of knowledge to the engineering team.
- Electromagnetic Environment Modeling (EEM)
- Provide input to program bids and generate supporting BOEs.
- Develop individual performance goals and team key results, monitor and measure performance, and prepare and deliver formal performance assessments.
- Support of team for field service assignments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance at the DOD Secret level
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in project leadership and EVM.
- Ability to lead engineering teams in delivering to technical, cost and schedule
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline with a minimum 9 years of experience in an engineering development environment; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in leading and managing engineering personnel.
- U.S. Citizenship.

- EMI/EMC analysis and test
- Electromagnetic modeling and simulation
- Professional Knowledge: Advanced level of technical engineering skill/knowledge and the ability to keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise
- Leadership: Demonstrated skills and abilities needed to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments.
- Proven capability to solve technical problems while meeting the need of the customer.
- Experience working in a matrix environment; getting things done through others
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Works well with management, peers and direct reports
- Proficient in technical writing to include specifications, technical proposals and white papers, design reviews and technical presentations.
- Active DoD security clearance
