Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Manager of Employee Communications that i ncreases employee engagement by planning and executing communications about the company’s initiatives, culture and growth. They will collaborate with leaders across the organization — from the executive team to HR to engineering — to share and evolve the company story and foster brand evangelists. Location: Plymouth, MN Hybrid

What you will do:
  • Develop and execute a strategic communications plan, aligning internal and executive messaging with the company’s mission, vision, values and brand positioning
  • Shape and enhance the organization’s culture and engagement, helping employees feel connected to the company and get the information they need to do their jobs effectively
  • Work across functions and teams, and in close partnership with marketing and human resources, to execute communication initiatives from concept to delivery to measurement
  • Produce employee communications, authoring and developing a variety of internal and executive communications, in multiple mediums, to be delivered across internal communications channels
  • Maintain an editorial calendar, and develop and shape stories sourcing information and content from teams across the organization
  • Coordinate distribution and maintenance of content through all channels including Staffbase employee communications platform
  • Lead the internal communications specialist and manage the team’s productivity, growth and development
  • Measure the impact of communication efforts, and adjust activities and programs as needed
  • Support leadership and company meetings and events — promotion, logistics, etc

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, journalism, communications or marketing
  • 8+ years marketing, business writing and/or employee engagement experience
  • Experience using employee communications software platform
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12 years preferred communications and change-management experience

Required Qualifications:
  • Content development - Write, produce and tailor content for specific audiences, demonstrating a deep understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholders needs communications; requires strong writing skills and an ability to work in other mediums such as video
  • Oral communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; demonstrates group presentation skills; participates in meetings
  • Technology expertise - Experience implementing an employee communications platform and managing scope of work through the platform; proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications
  • Professionalism - High degree of professionalism with strong attention to detail and agility to work closely with senior executives
  • Collaboration - Desire to collaborate with diverse organizational partners, particularly within marketing and human resources — seen as a go-to resource across the organization
  • Thoroughness - Demonstrates diligence and accuracy; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to boost performance
  • Measurement and analytics - Assesses effectiveness of communications and optimizes efforts
  • Channel development - Manages, maintains and augments internal communication channels including corporate intranet and newsletters
