Job Summary

Works in a dyad model with the Center of Excellence Chief to advance quality, patient satisfaction, access, operational efficiency, clinical program growth, academics, research, and market growth for the Center and it's programs. The Center Administrator will support the Center Medical Director by engaging all medical staff with privileges in the Center's specialty in the organization of the Center, development of an annual workplan for the Center, and decision-making within the Center. The Center Administrator will support and facilitate Center Council meetings which will occur at least six time per year. The Center Administrator will provide administrative oversight of the Center and it's programs through administration of finances, personnel, educational programs, public relations and physical resources. Administrator will interview, hire, and assign work to and evaluate work performance of employees supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Market analysis for center/specialty, identify gaps within market, develop strategies to close market gaps, develop strategy for center growth/expansion in alignment with market projections-in collaboration with key stakeholders and operational teams.
  • Monitoring holistic overview of center/specialty operation and identify gaps, barriers, and opportunities within center operations across care continuum.
  • Tracking, reporting, and planning of center volume & growth.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across care continuum to develop and implement strategies for operational efficiency, and make connections between departments, divisions, and organizations where needed.
  • Serve as strategic leadership partner to physician directors and delegate needs of center to corresponding areas within organization.
  • Provide support and facilitate communication between those areas, and maintain high-level oversight of communication and progress updates across the organization as related to the center and its needs and ongoing projects.
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications, Business Development, and Public Relations teams to identify opportunities, develop content, and implement corresponding efforts for center inclusive of, but not limited to, inpatient, ambulatory, academic, and administrative areas.
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors, various key stakeholders, and HVI leadership to develop SOCs, PSPs, Strategic plan, and any additional proposals or business plans as needed.
  • Co-lead center governance with Medical Director, promoting inclusion and participation of all physicians and operational areas that impact center.
  • Visibility and understanding of quality metrics and KPIs within center, and partnership with operations and PI teams to execute initiatives for quality improvement


Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelors' degree required. Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration or health administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within the specialty area managed.
  • Knowledge of specialty-specific billing, coding, inpatient and outpatient work.
  • Progressive supervisory experience including financial analysis required.
  • Proficient in using computer applications for analyzing data, communicating, and producing reports.
