Description

Supports the Instructional Lead Coach program priorities of providing campuses expert instructional

upport via content knowledge, coaching for improved instructional delivery, professional development and data analysis. Works with the Director to strategically align and coordinate work across the Instructional Lead Coaches, School Leadership Executive Directors and Academic Services departments. Oversees and manages a network of coaches to develop strong teacher instructional delivery and campus content leadership capacity.

  • Assist the Director in supervising, managing, and leading the development of the

    Instructional Lead Coaches through regularly scheduled professional development,

    cognitive and instructional coaching with constructive feedback modeling, data

    interpretation and on-campus site assistance.
  • Supervise and monitor Instructional Lead Coaches who are not assigned directly to

    a regional ED.
  • Assist in the cooperative efforts with other district departments to integrate systemwide instructional activities to meet targets, which includes core curriculum and

    intervention resources/system, serving as a linking agent to facilitate team-oriented

    approaches for execution of the department's projects and directives.
  • Analyze and utilize database information to create concise, coherent standardized

    reports and forms; familiarity with databases when analyzing, compiling, or

    managing large sets of data.
  • Develop action plans, professional learning, and systems to monitor implementation

    and procedures to facilitate the attainment of departmental instructional targets.
  • At the request of the Director, represent the department at meetings with other

    departments, executive directors, and associate superintendents.
  • Advise the Director on key core content issues from the field and identify areas for

    improvement, communicating action plans to others and coordinating/evaluating

    follow-up on action plans.
  • Serve as the conduit between the Instructional Lead Coaches and other

    departments regarding data, report development, and assigned projects.
  • Prepare presentations, planning documents, required reports and data requiring

    precision, accuracy, readability, and editorial correctness, while working with the

    Director to develop systems based on management by objective and results.
  • Keep abreast of technical, legislative, instructional, and professional trends and

    developments affecting the department's target populations.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.


All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Education or in direct related field; Master's degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • Preferred valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements: ELAR, Math,

    Science or Social Studies.
  • Required 5 plus years of direct experience.
  • Preferred 2 plus years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to solve problems of a high degree of complexity under pressure.
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
  • Effective and efficient decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required to summarize and interpret data sets and provide recommendations based upon data.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
