Job Description

The Manager, Margin Accounting will facilitate the financial planning and actual results for the Margin 'Delta Profit' balance. The Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely Reporting and Planning of Margin and all associated internal and external audit requirements.

This role will work with large amounts of data to prepare trend and variance reports designed to identify performance issues, currency exchange impacts, and cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives supporting multiple organizations including Commercial, Corporate FP&A, Operations, Consolidations, Tax, and R&D.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that worldwide consolidated cost of inventory and inventory related expenses are accurate.
  • Resolve affiliate Margin questions timely and accurately.
  • Complete the quarterly reporting for external and internal auditors.
  • Coordinate with AbbVie's internal and external auditors for audit and accounting-related requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of the Entity Margin reporting requirements and provide support for Tax Reporting.
  • Support annual Planning exercise of providing affiliates with the Margin information.
  • Manage the Perpetual Inventory report completing variance exchanges flexes for LBEs and Planning.
  • Maintain and execute an effective system of financial reporting and disclosure controls of AbbVie's Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Coordinate with AbbVie's internal and external auditors for audit and accounting-related requirements.
  • Experience including leading cross functional teams, complex data analysis, independent problem solving and experience with SAP Costing desireable.
  • Experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing strongly recommended. Experience in Supply Chain Finance Operations, consolidation and reporting, and process/data mangagement desirable.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive and related experience.
  • Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Finance Operations preferred.
  • Proficient Excel skills, Knowledge of SAP desired.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to see a big picture and understand how the processes fit togethe
