Summary:
Responsible for a portfolio of manufacturer and brands within designated product categories, including brand management and strategy, pricing strategy, consumer and customer understanding, product development from concept to shelf, innovation roadmap, and marketing plan development and execution. Supports category profit and loss. Continually assesses trends and opportunities to optimize product market position and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Own go to market acceleration of brands by creating clear brand, communication, and tactical opportunities to drive growth
• Drive retailer specific launches: sizes, fragrances, products while working cross functionally on the development of these elements including design requests, formula testing packaging, artwork, cost, as well as go-to-market implementations.
• Develop key sell-in storytelling of new / base products where relevant.
• Support consistent brand and messaging across full portfolio.
• Provide strategic 3-year recommendation on portfolio white space.
• Business/Marketing Strategy and Category Expert - lead key business review charts / analysis for top management meetings
• Champion key market deep dives here relevant
• Own POS forecasting for the total brand portfolio
• Category P&L (New product pricing strategy, volume, expenses, product lifecycle)
• New Product Development and Innovation Roadmap
• Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
• Conduct presentations to internal teams and key strategic retail accounts
• Marketing Analysis and Business Case Development
• Continuous Cost Improvement programs
• Consumer and Retail Customer Understanding
• Develop and maintain product selling tools
• Work cross functionally to develop the product specifications item set-up for Customers - i.e., Case/Pallet/Item specs, UPC codes, Item codes
Education Requirements:
A bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
Experience Requirements:
3+ years of consumer-packaged goods product management/ brand management experience with a record of increasing responsibility and has been promoted to Product Manager or above.
Experience leading new product development processes from concept inception through market introduction. 2+ years of profit and loss responsibility, including managing brand expense budget.
Competencies:

• Ability to develop and execute annual marketing plans, including advertising, media, and consumer promotion planning
• Ability to develop new and existing item pricing strategies
• Ability to utilize and analyze syndicated research data (e.g., IRI or Nielsen)
• Experience participating in key account sales presentations and has demonstrated strengths in working closely with Sales department
