Overview

The position of Digital Commerce Manager of Analytics serves as a key member of the Commerce team. This individual must enable data-driven decisions, fuel strategically minded analyses and ultimately guide recommendation for our sales team. They will collaborate with our Account Managers to facilitate a deep understanding of what is driving our business. They will move the team beyond looking at numbers to telling a story about what the data means and what to do next.

This Manager of Analytics role will be responsible for leading total ecommerce business analyses primarily focused on Amazon, Chewy, Walmart and Kroger. They will be providing business leads with performance updates and recommendations and evolving our reporting to enable more agility. They will have a direct report who is responsible for ongoing ecommerce business reporting and promotional analysis as well. They will also be partnering with IT to inform dashboard views and changes to tableau reporting.

This candidate will be proficient with leveraging data to assess performance and identify growth opportunities. Strong partnership, communication and prioritization skills are required to build productive working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners. They should be a self-starter who can stand up new reporting solutions and react to the needs of the business with speed. A spirit of entrepreneurship and agility will be necessary to enable success within this role.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Lead business analyses utilizing retailer point-of-sale and consumer panel syndicated data sources
  • Partner with account and media team to facilitate an understanding of our business performance and growth opportunities, proactively sharing insights
  • Possess an understanding of ecommerce causals and the relationships between traffic, availability, conversion, site merchandising, media and price
  • Partner to inform views and metrics shown within tableau and excel dashboards; begin integrating digital shelf and media metrics to overall reporting
  • Delivers weekly, monthly and quarterly business reports to share broadly with the organization
  • Leads approach to event and promotion evaluation
  • He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
  • Empower decision making by delivering data in simple, story like fashion with clear takeaways
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations and consult to ensure activation of the learning
  • Keep a pulse on the digital commerce measurement space to understand opportunities for new, more agile approaches and methodologies to data and analytics
  • Participates in cross functional business management and forecasting processes
  • Ensures appropriate use of findings and recommendations with teams and business partners; offers coaching when needed
  • Collaborate with our internal analytics teams to maximize the value of all of our data sets

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree required

Experience
  • 4+ years of analytics experience with 1+ year in ecommerce space specifically
  • Must be proficient in excel; strong tableau experience preferred
  • Experience with Amazon Retail Analytics and/or Walmart Luminate preferred
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods preferred
Experience with Nielsen or Numerator a plus
