JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Data Management, this position is responsible for mobilization, operationalization, and execution of the data maturity program and co-architecting of the technical foundations of the new self-service, store front analytics & data shopping architectures. Demonstrate technical thought leadership, strong project/program management and data architecture skills supported by experience with similar, enterprise-wide implementations. In-depth knowledge of healthcare domains and data classification is required (e.g., claims and eligibility, provider, pricing, risk-based products) with a solid understanding of data protection mechanisms and measures (data obfuscation, dynamic/persistent masking, etc.).

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the implementation of the Data Maturity Program strategy and framework. You will be responsible for execution of the outcome based, top-down/bottom-up and persona centric data governance strategy at Multiplan.
2. Ensure the implementation meets the objectives of the strategy to promote culture change and innovative and effective data use at Multiplan.
3. Engage the Program Charter members, executing discussions and decisions made during charter meetings.
4. Work with IT, data management and business stakeholders to drive strong data stewardship and ownership, enable adoption and governance, and make sure engaged teams and users stay connected on projects and priorities.
5. Execute and maintain the strategy and operational documentation and guidelines, including the Program Charter, Onboarding Playbooks, RACI, etc., actively evolving them as appropriate.
6. Help conceive of the foundations and drive the architecture of data storefronts with a self-service data provisioning paradigm.
7. Carry out strategy decisions with the Data Management team around best practice modern data architectures with the program objectives and MultiPlan's technical landscape.
8. Actively participate in the relevant platform and technology brainstorming sessions and demonstrations (e.g. Snowflake, Informatica, Databricks, etc.)
9. Develop approaches, weighing in available options (e.g., data zoning, data locality vs. enterprise assets, automated provisioning) and negotiating the ideal vs. pragmatic and optimal solutions.
10. Develop and conduct solution demonstrations to the senior IT and business stakeholders emphasizing outcomes and data product-based value.
11. Collaborate with Data Management and other technical leads to map out the architecture execution, plan the resources, timeline, and roadmap.
12. Foster the culture of data ambassadorship within the data stewardship community while monitoring its proper execution.
13. Mentor and advise the team, helping groom and develop new in-house skills while advising on the hiring strategy.
14. Manage and delegate tasks as appropriate to a team of data governance coordinators.
15. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data -- this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.
16. Advise and advocate for a common language of data across the enterprise.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

* 10+ years of data professional hands-on experience with data architecture, governance, data engineering, reporting and analytics. self-service in healthcare (claims, payer, provider, etc.) is preferred!

* Working knowledge and experience with relevant platforms and technologies including Informatica IDMC/Governance/Catalog/Marketplace, Snowflake, Databricks is a MUST!
* Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing a cross-departmental, data-centric team.

* Minimum 5 years of experience leading large top-down/bottom-up data governance initiatives.

* Understanding of modern data architectures such as data mesh, data fabric, lake-house, data sharing, data publishing paradigms, "marketplaces "and "storefronts"
* Proven track of record and expertise with self-service/store-front solutions implemented in large production environments.
* Proven track of record driving end-to-end technical, functional, and process architectures
* Success in establishing thought leadership with IT and business stakeholders, serving as a program architect from small to large data engagements.
* Fluency in framing solution concepts, conducting demonstrations, developing POC to establish compelling value propositions with IT senior management.
* Strong experience with cross-departmental leadership and training
* Practical experience delivering data projects in Agile methodologies.
* Expert knowledge of data governance best practices, standards, and implementation procedures
* Ability to work with both IT and business in building data maturity solutions including catalog and curation, profiling, quality, task creation, mapping and more.
* Experience communicating complex technical solutions to a less technical audience.
* Exposure to structured change management processes and an understanding of how to develop for enterprise culture change.
* Experience in working with data governance/data quality and data security teams and specifically data stewards and security officers in moving data assets into production with appropriate data quality, governance and security standards and certification.
* Adept in agile methodologies and capable of applying DevOps and DataOps principles to governance assets and solutions.
* An agile learner who brings strong problem-solving skills and enjoys working as part of a technical, cross-functional team to solve complex data problems.
* Ability to manage and provide mentoring to a team of data professionals.
* Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and requests at any one time.
* Strong attention to detail when identifying data relationships, trends, and anomalies.
* Thinking through long-term impacts of key design decisions and handling failure scenarios
* Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
* Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.
* Ability to meet strict deadlines, work on multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
* Passionate about documentation of processes, workflows, and other necessary structure

* Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similarly relevant field. Master's Business degree is preferred.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $150K to $165K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
