Manager of Direct Tax

Salary - $140k

My client that is known for providing great software solutions for the global travel/tourism industry is looking for a Manager of Direct Taxes to join their team here in Miami. This manager will report directly into the Head of Tax, and will be responsible for 3 direct reports as well as managing the companys direct tax function. They will be responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies, researching and interpreting tax laws/regulations, preparing and reviewing tax returns, as well as overseeing all tax audits. Although most of the taxes are outsourced to a 3rd party, they will have to handle all of the data, so extensive experience with data manipulation will be crucial to the success of this individual. Being hands on, involved, and willing to roll their sleeves up is something they will be expected to do both with their team, as well as stakeholders internally. Lastly, my client is a multinational organization, so will operate in the Us, as well as Central America, Caribbean and China. Having the compliance knowledge and being able to provide guidance on tax implications for business decisions will be very beneficial to the growth of the organization.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of leadership/managerial experience
- 15+ years of direct tax experience (income tax)
- Skilled in V-look ups, and Excel
- Accounting knowledge: able to write journal entries
- Use SAP S/HANA

- Has dealt with multinational taxes
