What You'll Do

As Manager of Returns in Product Management, you will lead a team of product managers to develop a product roadmap for our Core Managed Returns Products and US Platform. You will report to the VP of Product Management and will work hybrid out of the Durham, NC area. #LI-Hybrid

What You'll Need to be Successful

You will collaborate with the general manager and engineering teams to align business strategy with product development, driving strategic programs for business transformation and growth. Additionally, you will engage with customers and experts, ensure cohesive product strategies, set goals, define important metrics, and foster partner relationships.

• Work with customers and Avalara subject matter experts to understand market needs
• Work closely with product managers to guide consolidated strategies and roadmaps to ensure cohesion across team members and products
• Work with product managers on goal setting and plan execution
• Be a promoter of the Avalara product and business strategy
• Promote a compelling product vision for Returns Platform
• Define metrics that measure important goals
• Partner with other Avalara leaders and team members to lead relationships that foster goal achievement and issue resolution

About the Team

• You have experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences valued at all levels.
• Holistic problem-solving ability to define and prioritize solutions for diverse partners.
• 6+ years of leadership experience that combines product, operational, program, and sales knowledge.
• You enjoy motivating teams, while hiring and developing top talent.
• High emotional intelligence, empathy, collaboration skills across multiple teams.
• You have experience defining and tracking metrics that measure the success of products for internal and customer interactions.
