MANAGER OF STRATEGIC PLANNING (POWERSPORTS - NORTH AMERICA)

We are looking for a Manager of Strategic Planning for our Powersports Group - North America who will report to the Vice President & General Manager, Powersports - North America, and who’ll be a key contributor to achieving Powersports objectives. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the organization's growth. You’ll be responsible for operationalizing the business’ governance framework to achieve and maintain keeping the business on track to meet our strategic plans.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Collaborate with leadership to build and maintain a comprehensive and realistic 5 Year Strategic Plan with target milestones that will position us for long-term success.
  • Responsible for the process to define the long-term vision for the North America Powersports Group. Including oversight for both the strategic planning and budget governance cycles to ensure leadership focus and alignment.
  • Define and implement best practices, processes and KPIs to monitor progress.
  • Develop future initiatives and the prioritization process to ensure focus and strategic alignment.
  • Build strong partnerships with the business and collaborate with functional leaders to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Translate priorities to initiatives in collaboration with the business functions. Coordinate with business partners to drive accountability.
  • Work closely with the global strategy function to provide transparency to the Management Committee of progress and changing conditions. Support the creation of the storyline to update senior stakeholders of BRP on the tracking of the North American Powersports Operation.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field, such as engineering, economics, finance, or business
  • Minimum of 5 years working closely with or in Strategy with a solid business acumen
  • Minimum of 3 years managing a team
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinker with the ability to delve into unique challenges, articulating clearly the problems to solve and finding creative solutions.
  • Relentless focus on driving tangible impact for the organization.
  • High tolerance to ambiguity and a strong level of flexibility/adaptability.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a multi-functional and cultural environment. Skilled at influencing and communicating with all levels within the organization.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills to manage frequent interactions with various business units and functions coupled with a capacity to build organizational alignment. Effective in building collaborative and sustained partnerships across the business and proven ability to work in a matrixial environment.
  • Strong initiative: demonstrated track record of initiating and successfully implementing projects or ideas. Self-starter, being able to plan and work the day with minimal input from the management team.
  • Integrity and Trust: Do what's right and operate with transparency and openness.

TRAVEL: This position will require 10% travel.

Preferred:
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Prior experience having worked for one of the major strategy consulting firms
