Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Manager of Surgical Services Operations at Methodist Hospital - Texsan who is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of business practices and procedures related to the operating room. The Manager also coordinates and supervises the OR analyst, and the charge entry secretary. The Operations Manager assists the Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures and in the financial management of the Unit. What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Responsible for the surgical revenue cycle; completes billing/charging on a daily basis, creating supply Item Add requests and reconciling ancillary charge reports.
• Produces cost reports and revenue reports for end-of-month reporting.
• Trains new employees on the process of charging for supplies and implants. Informs all involved staff and management of changes to the system and teach as needed.
• Supports hospital staff as requested and coordinates with other departments needs as they interface to OR/PACU nursing/scheduling documentation.
• Creates NPS and department reports to provide statistics/data for Administration, QI/QM, Finance, Surgical Service, Special Projects.
• In conjunction with the appropriate Management engineer participates in the PI/QI program for Surgical Services departments.
• Overseeing Supply Ordering
• Inventory control
• Research and investigate cost benefit of new technology requests
• Overview/approval of PO's - Bill only and for Consignment, supplies brought in
• Maintains consignment compliance
• End of Month reporting
• Charge master and supply inventory maintenance/standardization
• CDM's for surgical services

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2+ Years of experience Working knowledge of OR Operations.
• Preferred previous management experience or demonstrated ability to serve in a leadership position.
• Preferred experience in Meditech.
