Under the administrative direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the Information Technology Manager I serves as the Manager of the Enterprise Storage Management Services Section. The position's duties and activities are performed primarily within the System technical domain. The incumbent provides management and technical leadership for Enterprise Storage Management Services and has responsibility for one of the largest and most complex enterprise data storage, data protection and backup/recovery systems in the State.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the critical sensitive enterprise data storage, data protection, and backup/recovery operations. Management functions include personnel management, performance monitoring, staff development, contract and vendor management, and resources management.

Special Requirements

Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS) certifications.

Must have experience and knowledge in enterprise-level technology operational practices and methodologies. Must have experience in the development and operations of enterprise-level systems environments, processes, and procedures. Incumbent must have extensive knowledge and abilities in the following disciplines: Operational Service Management (including cloud-based systems); System Administration; Software Integration; Infrastructure platforms/protocols. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Must possess leadership skills necessary to lead a larger and complex technology environment.
