Work You'll Do

As a Manager, you will lead and deliver small engagements, or components of large, complex engagements for Power, Utilities & Renewables clients and provide overall leadership for GIS systems implementation and integration projects. Using a combination of direct management and hands-on delivery, you will craft solutions for clients, guide and oversee the quality of your team's deliverables and recommendations, and manage day-to-day stakeholder relationships. Successful candidates will accomplish these objectives by:
  • Leading and collaborating with cross functional project teams consisting of internal teams, client teams and third party vendors to ultimately make decisions on process convergence and design.
  • Leading and mentoring teams to run Business Process design workshops with clients to support the transformation and convergence of legacy processes to new processes.
  • Developing functional requirements or user stories from to-be processes, providing recommendations with functional solution alternatives, maintaining traceability of processes to requirements, designing deliverables, managing and delegating tasks to team members and liasing with program sponsors regarding process readiness and risks.
  • Supporting technical teams (i.e. architecture and test teams) to design and validate new processes, leveraging functional and business expertise
  • Leveraging understanding of utility operations and planning processes and tools and staying up-to-date on industry/sector trends.
  • Communicating complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, with senior client stakeholders, project sponsors and client teams through tools like Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
  • Leverag ing strong problem solving, critical thinking and trouble shooting skills and demonstrating an ability to exercise mature judgement.
  • Developing and foster ing relationships with clients and establishing credibility a trusted advisor to bring GIS industry domain expertise to a variety of projects.
Managers will contribute to Deloitte's thought leadership, play a significant role in business development activities, and own responsibility for the development of junior staff.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years' experience working with Utilities clients or experience working within the Utilities sector
  • 8+ years' experience with real-time electric utilities solutions (DERMS, ADMS, OMS, DMS, D-SCADA, GIS and/or EMS) or utility distribution/capacity planning
  • 8+ years of functional process or solution experience
  • Experience with utility IT and OT systems, with an understanding of IT/OT intersection
  • Experience with business process and business requirements development
  • Experience with systems integration lifecycle, including requirements development and test planning
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience leading teams of 10 or more
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Experience with utility network modeling and engineering analysis
  • Esri ArcGIS experience
  • Experience with Power BI, Excel, Microsoft Project, Visio
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $144,600 to $241,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
