SUMMARY:

The Operations Integrity (OI) Manager, Crowley Petroleum Services (CPS), MERGEFIELD "Summary" is responsible for implementation and administering of the Company's health & safety, environmental performance and quality management obligations according to the established Safety Management System (SMS) and applicable regulatory requirements. This role ensures that safety and environmental awareness programs are effective, including coaching and mentoring on the SMS, leading and performing inspections and audits of CPS vessels (tankers and barges) and shoreside facilities to review the effectiveness and efficiency of operational practices, processes and procedures.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes, but is not limited to, MERGEFIELD "General_Responsibilities" providing the business unit, Crowley Petroleum Services (CPS), with support to reduce/eliminate personal injuries, reduce vessel and equipment damage and environmental spills/LOCs and implement safety and environmental awareness and incentive programs. Ensures compliance with Federal/State/Local laws, rules, and regulations, company policies, marine terminal regulations and Customer/Charterer/Client applicable requirements. Conducts, leads and/or facilitates incident investigations and management system audits for vessel operations and shore-side compliance, with emphasis on the ISM code and marine regulations requirements. Manages follow up on corrective/preventative actions (CAPAs) to evaluate effectiveness. Coordinates internal effective personnel training and evaluation programs with company stakeholders and other groups. Maintains positive relations with federal, state, and local governmental agencies, interfacing regularly with the USCG, ABS, etc. Provides input or leads revision of Fleet and Office procedures and manuals. Required to compile key QHSE statistics and reports data to Charterers and Insurance syndicates (i.e. Injury logs, Spills, Property Damages, Navigational Incidents, Near Misses, Product or Cargo transferred, etc.). In some locations, may hold deputy responsibility for "Designated Person (DP)" under the ISM code.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

MERGEFIELD "Education" Bachelor's degree in nautical science, marine engineering, or Occupational Health and Safety preferred, or sufficent equivalent work experience within QHSSE and/or Marine Transportation Operations.

EXPERIENCE:

MERGEFIELD "Experience" 7+ or more years professional/managerial experience in marine operations and/or safety, health and environmental management roles, or sufficent equivalent work experience.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:

MERGEFIELD "Technical_Proficient" Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Knowledgeable with applicable quality, health, safety and environmental performance standards and regulations for Marine Transportation Operations.

COMPETENCIES:

Influences the workforce towards continual improvement in Operations Integrity, to capitalize on health, safety, security and environmental performance successes. MERGEFIELD "Competencies" Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope and with flexibilty to adjust to demands of the operational needs.

OTHER:

Qualified Safety Professional with appropriate marine operations experience, and/or MERGEFIELD "Other" USCG senior licensed deck or engineering officer preferred.
