This is a hybrid role with the amount of time onsite determined by the work. Ideally this position will be located in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area with alternate locations in Blue Bell, PA, or Boca Raton, FL area.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for overseeing the management of Product QA team, ensuring the quality and reliability of all customer-facing products developed by ADT Product Engineering group. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in software QA (manual and automation), experience in testing software, and strong leadership skills to drive excellence in QA practices.
  • Lead and manage a team of manual and automation testers, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage Product QA operations, as well as manage and lead QA tracks based on established processes and procedures.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks using tools such as Appium and other open-source technologies.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of automated testing efforts and report on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases to verify the functionality, and customer experience of software products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and project managers, to define QA requirements and testing criteria.
  • Establish processes to identify, track, escalate, resolve, and report issues.
  • Monitor and report on QA metrics, test coverage, defect rates, and overall software quality to stakeholders.
  • Consult and advise team on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods.
  • Mentor team on career development and performance improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to software QA and testing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
  • Four year degree
  • 10+ years of software testing and automation experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in a QA management role, with a strong background in software automation testing.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation testing principles, QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Hands-on coding experience with automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, Espresso, XCUITest or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in mobile automation testing and familiarity with iOS and Android platforms.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using open-source technologies.
  • Expertise in API testing and experience with API testing tools.
  • Familiarity with log analysis and monitoring tools, like Splunk, Dynatrace.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and test automation integration.
  • Proficiency in using QA tools such as JIRA and ALM.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Should be a self-starter with a positive attitude, able to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) is a must have

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $99,200 - $148,000 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.

Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
