Summary

The Senior Manager, Professional Services works to build and scale a services organization in a fast-moving SaaS environment, enabling employee growth while achieving customer and company success.

The individual is responsible for providing direction and guidance to direct reports as well as the development of a comprehensive and detailed methodology to ensure a successful implementation. The Manager, Professional Services will lead a team of 6 - 12 direct and indirect reports, on average. Individual must regularly and effectively deal with customers on various professional services levels, such as steering committee participation, issues resolution, and concerns escalated from direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Training new consultants in product and methodology. Detailed onboarding process should be maintained and followed for all new hires.
    2. Develops, reviews and maintains implementation methodology and supporting materials that are consistent with customer needs. Monitors effectiveness in satisfying customer needs.
    3. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Uses Aptean tools such as Culture Amp to conduct regular and periodic one-on-one sessions with direct reports.
    4. Coordinates and conducts regular team meetings to communicate pertinent Company and team information; ensures that good lines of communication and good working relationships are maintained with all personnel involved in the implementation process, both internal and external. Ensures that team visits customer sites as required; treats customers in a professional manner; and follows up rapidly on all requests for information, support and services. Maintains open lines of communication with customers, employees and third parties.
    5. Ensures Team remains current on products, optional modules, and areas of specialization with regard to product changes and enhancements; develops expert, specialized application/Team knowledge by using available documentation and attending training classes.
    6. Maintain a certain percentage of employee utilization while continuing to keep team up to date on software enhancements and assist other departments as necessary. (Typically, 65% on average.)
    7. Participates in sales presentations for new prospects on an as-needed basis. Assists in the analysis of Professional Services consulting projects to determine the degree of difficulty involved and the number of days necessary to complete the project.
