The Opportunity

The Manager of Regulatory Programs for MGB Radiology Quality, Patient Safety, Equity & Experience (QPE) will lead departmental efforts to ensure regulatory compliance and readiness through the management of departmental policies, auditing, and tracer activities across all Radiology sites/locations.

MGB Radiology QPE will be responsible for setting central strategy and assure accountability for the following key programmatic elements:

1. Patient Safety: Root cause analysis, Radiology safety event review including synthesizing risk and priorities.

2. Quality Performance Management: Radiology quality metrics and benchmarks.

3. Quality Improvement (QI)/Process Improvement (PI): Process redesign.

4. Regulatory Compliance: Oversight of all Radiology regulatory processes.

5. Value: Promote high value, high quality care using workflow redesign, utilization management & decision support.

6. Patient Experience, Equity and Community Health: Foster a departmental quality culture oriented to the specific needs of patients and families with particular attention on how social determinants of health and structural racism impact patient outcomes within Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Partners with relevant MGB and site-specific leadership to ensure follow through with elements required by regulatory bodies (Joint Commission, ACR, etc)

• Keep abreast of safety reporting activities across MGB to target specific clinical compliance improvement

• Management of enterprise and site-specific policies, procedures and clinical guideline

• Partnering with MGB Clinical Compliance and hospital leadership to understand MGB and site-specific priorities and best practices, how they impact Radiology, and partnering to execute on those prioritie

• Works with MGB Radiology QPE leadership to oversee integration activities across the Enterprise

• Prepare agendas, meeting minutes and action items for various MGB Radiology QPE committees and meeting

• Oversees project teams with direct and indirect reports and influence

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

• Master's degree also preferred in health policy, public health, or other analytic field

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for complex, multi-site Radiology departments spanning multiple states across New England

• Expertise in measuring clinical quality of care for use in quality improvement

• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and project

• Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute strategy and deliver on objective

• Strong leadership and mentoring skill

• Proficient in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision making

• Exceptional communication skills, including strong verbal, written and interpersonal skill

• Ability to build and manage relationships in a highly complex and changing environment

• Skilled at facilitation and building consensus and navigating sensitive issue

• Skill in negotiation with stakeholders and other partie

• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner

• Ability to influence the performance of teams without direct authority over the team

• Hybrid work arrangement, with flexibility to meet the demands of the position, including attending evening and early morning meeting

• Frequent local travel between MGB Radiology sites across New England
