About the Role

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead and manage a team of engineers and employees. You will support, run, and change activities in the software development life cycle. Additionally, you will provide direction, vision, and oversight to ensure successful completion and delivery of software components and related deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, management, direction, and vision to software engineers and development employees.
• Working closely with development peers, product and project leaders/managers, and other in-house software developers.
• Reporting progress to senior management and overseeing the department budget.
• Identifying and supporting talent, defining resource requirements, and allocations.
• Leading test-driven development and maintenance.
• Managing system and user acceptance testing cycles.
• Participating in the development and evolution of architecture.
• Serving as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.

Requirements

• Possess extensive and experienced experience in Software Development spanning over a decade.
• Demonstrate a solid foundation in management with a track record of successful experience.
• Be able to provide expertise in various staffing and resource models.
• Be proficient in database technology, design, and manipulation.
• Be knowledgeable in normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.
• Have experience in project planning and management tools.
• Be skilled in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving business objectives.
• Possess advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying complex project issues.
