Job Description:

Plans and implements clinical and administrative outpatient services for assigned Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) Program. Responsibilities include quality management oversight, financial analysis and management, operational efficiencies with respect to a number of metrics, personnel management, coordination of administrative matters. Includes identifying opportunities for improving quality outcomes and cost savings related to improving clinical and operational processes. Key to this role is accountability for good standing with UNOS and CMS.

  • Clinical leader for the SOT program including clinical program process review, continuous quality improvement and compliance with all UNOS and CMS standards. Assists in the development, implementation and coordination policy generation and review, clinical process variation and deviation management including policy document and management across disciplines.
  • Anticipate SOT Nursing Coordinator and Transplant Assistant staffing needs in accordance with national metrics, developing workflow models than optimize workload to staffing ratios.
  • Identifies and communicates potential marketing opportunities to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Reviews care delivery model frequently and proposes evidenced based changes that would positively impact operational metrics.
  • Designs, implements, and ensures compliance with protocols, monitors, and reports on compliance with all processes and changes.
  • Collaborates with the Medical Director and Surgical Director for respective organ to identify, plan and implement operational and policy changes.
  • Assists with preparation for announced audits and site surveys and supports Quality Manager to maintain a state of readiness for unannounced regulatory agency surveys.
  • Ensures team compliance with departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
  • Collaborates with SOT inpatient nursing manager to ensure compliance with operational and/or policy changes that may impact their units.
  • Program liaison for administration, faculty, staff, and external and community organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with MSN or Masters in a related field and four years' experience in nursing required. If candidates do not have their Master's degree, required to obtain within 3 years of hire. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Certification in specialty required within one year of hire. Prior experience in a leadership role in Quality management, Clinical practice management, or Transplant administration preferred.
