AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) sales organization is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect Leader to grow and lead a team of senior Solutions Architects who support our largest Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) customers. In this role you and your team will partner with sellers as part of an account team, to drive business outcomes for your customers. You will lead, motivate, and coach your team in developing relationships with technical executives, guide customers in using architecture best practices, partner with product teams to invent new solutions on behalf of your customers, develop internal processes. You will also coach your team in scaling their learnings through internal and external publications and speaking engagements.

Your customers consist of the largest public and fastest growing pre-IPO companies who provide business applications for enterprises, processing billions of transactions per day. Key job responsibilities

• \tEnsure you and you team delivers software solutions on AWS that lead to business outcomes, including migrations to AWS and global expansion of existing customer services.

• \tPartner and coach your team to partner with supporting specialist and service teams in developing solutions.

• \tHire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects including Principal Solutions Architects.

• \tDevelop relationships with your customers' key technical executives and decision makers.

• \tContribute to ideation discussions with your customers, making them aware of the AWS service capabilities.

• \tCoach your team to share their learning internally and externally both written and through speaking engagements.

• \tLeverage your strong writing skills to produce high quality documents that propose new processes or inventions.

• \tBecome an expert in AWS leadership principles and coach your team to become role models.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience

- 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience

- 8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles

- - 2+ years experience contributing to the architecture of a Software-As-A-Service application that serves hundreds of tenants.

- - experience working at both public and pre-IPO companies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

- 3+ years contributing to building of software solutions on AWS.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $152,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
