JOB DESCRIPTION:


The Manager Ticket Sales is responsible for all sales of new Full Season Equivalents and retention of current season ticket members. This position creates business plans and executes sales strategies to surpass all revenue targets. This position is responsible for leading the strategy around recruiting, training, and developing our Season Ticket Sales and Services staff. In addition, the Manager Ticket Sales will take the lead on in-game selling and running new sales events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • The Manager Ticket Sales will be responsible for conceiving, creating, managing and implementing all service-related projects within the ticket sales and service department of the Ontario Reign. These projects include but are not limited to Meet the Player events, Select A Seat, Re-Enrollment, Loyalty Program, Season Ticket Member of the Game, and other events and projects as required. Attend all Ontario Reign home games to manage all in game sales related activities.
  • Develop and maintain client lists, contact information, sales goals, sales figures, and all other data consistent with optimizing strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, supervising, managing, and reviewing the performance of ticket sales and service employees. Also responsible for utilizing coaching as a technique to appropriately develop employees including conducting monthly GSMs.
  • Responsible for promoting a culture of innovation, where new ticket programs and offerings are created, existing programs are enhanced and new ideas are continuously explored.
  • Deliver prompt and accurate reports to the Director of Ticket Sales & Service including sales projections.
  • Generate new/increased sales revenue opportunities through: daily staff leadership, implementation of best sales practices, development of sales strategies, sales training, inventory maximization and results tracking.
  • Maintain well-organized inventories of sales tools and game day assets to ensure optimal sell-thru rate and maximize revenues.
  • Assist in the creation and management of the annual ticket sales budget and business plan.

The Manager Ticket Sales must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:

  • Demonstrates or has prior Sales Management experience/knowledge
  • Highly organized, resourceful, detailed-oriented, quick learner
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate workload and solve problems efficiently and quickly

  • Assertive, self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); and ability to learn required business systems
  • Ability to work nights, all events, weekends, events and holidays as required
  • Ability to work independently both efficiently and effectively

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:


Education:

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred)

Experience:

  • 10+ years Related work experience
  • Experience as a senior leader within a sales department
  • Experience leading, mentoring and/or coaching teams
  • Experience with ticketing strategy within sports

Pay Scale: $67,000-$70,000
