Key Responsibilities:

The Manager - Training Deployment role is responsible for the overall strategy and coordination of training delivery for Airport Operations employees for the system hubs as well as regional metro, line stations, and regional international operations. They supervise training delivery for Airport Operations, Cargo employees, and leaders for each hub; up to 50 metro/line stations in addition to vendor service providers. This leader develops and executes strategies to ensure training programs are timely and high quality as well as directing analysis for training validation and return on investment requirements. This role manages a team of training instructors who implement worldwide training. The leader supports leadership in the stations and region with initial, recurrent and ad-hoc training experiences as needed.

  • Drives learning capabilities to improve resources, increase speed to proficiency, and reduce costs. Implements strategies to ensure training programs are timely, of high quality, and is within the station's training budget. Maintains training schedule for assigned locations and works with the workforce organization to deliver training while ensuring budget compliance. Provides oversight to ensure effectiveness, consistency and compliance with training requirements.
  • Leads a team of training instructors to support the delivery of all airport operations curricula. Identifies training needs and delivers frontline and leadership training programs. Ability to collaborate, evaluate and create training solutions to station specific problems.
  • Partners with all other operational organizations in the hub; metro/line stations in addition to vendor service providers to ensure a common set of standards for work. Acts as a resource to the hub to implement training programs and escalate issues to a system level for resolution.
  • Collaborates with on-site training coordinator and handles the support of shared training services, distribution of materials, facility and equipment management, enrollment and training tracking support within the Learning Network.
  • Evaluates vendor performance in the training area and leads project timelines, vendor transitions, budgets and compliance in the specific geographic region and hub.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Degree in Education or comparable work experience
  • 4+ years of related experience, including at least 1 year leading an operational or staff planning team and at least 2 years of operational experience
  • Existing instruction/facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel
  • Strategic and forward-thinking
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases
  • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation
  • Ability to build solid relationships and work in a team environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
